shocking news

I have been working on mending jeans, coats, blankets, shirts and whatever else is in the pile.  I really should get to the jeans before there are more holes than jeans. 

Machine update

This is the serger update.  I can now thread the machine.  I can even put material through it and stitches appear.

We will leave it at that.

I am afraid of a machine

I have a serger.  I asked for this serger.  My sister gave me what I asked for.  I am afraid of it.

I have pulled out the book.  I have gone on-line and looked at all the cool things that you can do with a serger.  I even pulled it out of the box today.  It is sitting on the dresser at the foot of my bed.  Do you think osmosis will work?

I have a sewing machine too.  It took me 7 years to get brave enough to buy a pattern and material and actually make something.  I made an apron.  It is pretty and useful.  I like it.  I made it.

I am still afraid of the machine at the foot of my bed.
